What to Expect on Across Andes

Across Andes takes riders into the remote landscapes of Chile’s Araucanía Andina, following an unsupported gravel route through the southern Andes. The event explores a region shaped by volcanic peaks, mountain lakes and ancient Araucaria forests, offering a journey through some of the most distinctive terrain in southern Chile.

The 2025 Volcano Edition covered approximately 800 km, linking eight volcanoes and seven lakes across a varied network of gravel roads. The route passes through the region’s extensive natural landscapes, from forested mountain roads to open stretches beneath the Andes.

Riders take on the challenge without external assistance, navigating the route independently and managing their own food, equipment and resupply. Across Andes combines remote gravel riding with a demanding journey through one of South America’s most striking mountain regions.
