Iceni 360 takes a different approach to ultra-distance cycling, using a four-loop “Cloverleaf” route centred around a single hub in Brandon, Suffolk. The 2026 edition runs from October 31 to November 1, with riders able to choose how far they want to go: 90, 180, 270 or 360 miles. The routes combine paved roads and off-road trails across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
The full 360-mile (579 km) challenge gives riders up to 40 hours to complete all four loops. Rather than carrying everything for a continuous bikepacking journey, riders return to the central hub between loops, where they can access a drop bag, warm indoor space, toilets, food preparation facilities and a place to sleep. This makes the format considerably more accessible than a traditional unsupported ultra while still delivering serious distance.
Designed primarily for gravel bikes, Iceni 360 mixes road riding with off-road sections and recommends chunky tyres for the rougher terrain. Riders start at one-minute intervals from 07:00, while live tracking allows friends and family to follow progress. Pairs can also enter, although partners must ride and finish together.
The event is deliberately positioned as a gateway into ultra cycling and bikepacking, with preparation support covering areas such as navigation, nutrition, equipment and mental resilience. At the same time, the full 360-mile option provides enough distance and time pressure to make it a substantial endurance challenge. With its central hub and selectable distance, Iceni 360 offers a more forgiving way to discover what long-distance riding feels like without removing the challenge itself.
