Kromvojoj is a self-supported ultra-distance cycling event exploring the diverse landscapes of Catalonia and the Pyrenees in northeastern Spain. Founded in 2019 by four cycling enthusiasts, the event focuses on long-distance adventure, self-sufficiency and the freedom of exploring remote roads at your own pace. The 2027 edition offers two route options: approximately 1,350 km with 27,500 metres of climbing, and a shorter 875 km route with 16,500 metres of elevation gain.
The circular routes start and finish in Viladrau, Girona, taking riders through the mountains, valleys and historic villages of Catalonia and the French Pyrenees. The course combines quiet paved roads, challenging mountain passes, forested valleys and spectacular high-altitude landscapes.
The longer route is a particularly demanding test of endurance, crossing the Pyrenees and tackling numerous iconic climbs. The shorter Redux route offers a more compact alternative while retaining the mountainous character of the event.
Kromvojoj follows a self-supported format. Riders must manage their own navigation, food, accommodation, mechanical repairs and sleep strategy, without personal support or outside assistance. Both distances have a maximum completion time of seven days.
More than a race against the clock, Kromvojoj celebrates the personal experience of ultra-distance cycling. Its philosophy encourages riders to immerse themselves in the landscapes, embrace the uncertainty of the journey and discover their own way through the mountains.
