Event description

Liege-Paris-Liege is an ultra-distance road event that takes one of cycling's most storied names and reframes it entirely — not as a one-day Classic but as a multi-day self-supported challenge covering 440 kilometres from Liege to Paris and back. The route pays homage to the spirit of the original Liege-Bastogne-Liege, the oldest Monument in professional cycling, while scaling up to a distance that requires riding through the night and managing sleep over 36 to 48 hours. Starting in Liege in the Belgian Ardennes, the route heads south through the rolling forests and river valleys of the region before crossing into France and navigating the long roads north of Paris and then the city's surroundings before the return. The 440 kilometres and 5,900 metres of elevation make it a serious but achievable ultra for well-prepared road riders. The Spring edition in May benefits from long days, mild temperatures, and the particular atmosphere of a Belgian spring — the same light and roads that give the Classics their distinctive character. The self-supported format means riders find their own food and rest, with Ardennes villages and French roadside cafes providing resupply opportunities along the route. An event with genuine cultural resonance for road cycling enthusiasts.
